This is even better than matching donations because it doesn't require you to make a contribution. There is no cost to you at all! To donate money to Genesis House this way, all you have to do is go to "smile.amazon.com" and select Genesis House Inc (Melbourne, FL) as your charity of choice. (There are several "Genesis House Incs" in the U.S., so make sure you select the correct one.) Then when you shop with Amazon, go to "smile.amazon.com" instead of "amazon.com" and shop as usual. The best way to remember to do this is to go to "smile.amazon.com" and create a bookmark. This is a no-cost way for you to help Genesis House. For more information about the program, go to http://smile.amazon.com/about/.|

It did not look good. The night before the tournament was scheduled, the area was hit with heavy rain and lightning. We feared the tournament would be washed out. However, around 5 a.m. the skies began to clear and stars were shining! The weather turned out great! Lots of sunshine and cool the whole day--great golfing weather! The golfers had a good time and were generous with the various creative and fun ways we provided for them to donate to Genesis House. (See photos.)|

Kelly's mother, Deisy, sent this message:
"It was truly a blessing to see how the Lord had a hand in Kelly's 13th birthday! She not only was able to deliver a van full of diapers, towels, and toiletries for the mommies, she was also given the opportunity to obtain 40 inflatable children's chairs, a box of stuffed animals, children's key chains, scented pens/pencils, and hundreds of "Entertainment" coupon books--the ones that are sold in public schools as fundraisers--for FREE!!!....these are usually sold for $50.00 each. This is why we say the the Lord had His hand in all of this--praises to Him!"

The resident placed her baby for adoption about 20 years ago. She died of breast cancer three years ago. Other friends and family of the adoptive family also donated to the fund after it was determined that they wanted the funds used to build something that our current residents would enjoy and that would be in memory of the birth-mother (Sunny).
